Meet the Team

Chris Woodhead BA (Hon) F.C.A - Senior Partner

Experience/specialisms:
Chris formed the practice in 2003 after being in partnership with a fellow Chartered Accountant for 15 years. He is responsible for advising clients, producing accounts and tax returns, auditing and general practice matters.

Qualifications:
Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Gillian Swinden - Payroll Manager

Gill joined the team in 1998. In addition to her role as manager of our payroll bureau she performs book-keeping and VAT returns. Gill is a regular user of SAGE software and competent in spreadsheets.

Dawn Walker - Office Manager

Dawn has been with C J Woodhead since 2003, starting as a part time admin assistant but now works full time performing a multitude of tasks including all aspects of book-keeping. Dawn is our office manager and looks after our clients.

Alison Render - Administration Assistant

Alison joined our team in 2012. She works exclusively in office admin but also has some accounts experience from when she ran a family business. Alison keeps our filing up to date which, as any accountancy office knows, is imperative! She also ensures we are always well hydrated!

Rose-Marie Stokes - Accounts Assistant

Rosie has been with us since May 2017. Rosie left the teaching profession in 2017 to train as an accountant. She has now completed her AAT studies gaining MAAT. Rosie already had a degree in Mathematics so the change to accounting has been straightforward. In September 2017 she also began her studies to join Chris as a Chartered Accountant with ICAEW.

Helen Render - Assistant Office Manager

Helen Render is the latest addition to C J Woodhead and Co, joining us in September 2017. She has recently been promoted to Assistant Office Manager and continues to be involved in many different tasks, from emailing to answering phone calls to using Sage and excel to assist with data entry. Helen previously worked as a primary teacher and is using her organisational skills in our office.
